    Canyons of the Southern Bug
    Granitno-steppe Pobuzhzha - one of the oldest land areas of Eurasia, which does not sink into the depths of the sea for the past 60 million years and played the role of one of the centers of speciation of the Black Sea. The park is located on the southern edge of the Ukrainian crystalline shield, within the foothills of Podolsk and Dnieper uplands. In the park Southern Bug cuts to a crystalline array of the Ukrainian shield, resulting in the river created many rapids. On the cliffs can be seen the granite outcrops.

    Granitno-steppe Pobuzhzha represents the balance of the ancient ridge of mountains, stretching once per 1000 km north-west to south-east of Slovechansko-Ovruch ridge to Azov Upland. As a result of processes of denudation of the mountains, leaving only the foundation, presented cank. Over the past 60 million years, this land area is subjected to flooding.

    For almost 40 km South Buh here flows in the steep rocky shores, forming a narrow  valley with the majestic granite rocks, rapids channel, waterfalls and islands. Granitno-steppe Pobuzhzha - a real mountain country among the Ukrainian steppes. The park is located in the very old in geological terms the earth's surface. Of the local flora, there are about 900 species of vascular plants, 27 of them are included in the Red Book of Ukraine, four - in the European Red List.
